When leaked kits are part of the football ecosystem,
you’ve got two choices: try to fight it or own it.
To help launch adidas and Aston Villa's new away shirt we
turned the leak into the story. Premiering GASLAMP.
A film noir trailer, telling the mystery of the leak of
the new away shirt whose design was inspired by the gaslamp
outside Villa Park. A landmark that’s stood there since
the club was founded. We leant into the visual world
of the film noir genre from script to cinematography.
Every detail designed to feel less like a kit launch
and more like pure cinema.
